French biomass-from-manure fuelled car speeds to biofuel world record

A car running on hydrogen, produced from biomethanol, has beaten the world record for the distance covered by this type of vehicle in France, exceeding 2,000 kilometres. With a modified Renault Zoe, a team from the Tarn-based company ARM Engineering drove for three days with a single battery charge and a full tank of 200 litres of GH-3, a fuel made from biomass, resulting from the methanisation of manure.
