Cremation has become more common in the United States during the Covid-19 pandemic and a new way of mourning has emerged – turning loved ones’ ashes or hair into diamonds as keepsakes. The process aims to help the grieving process and lets mourners honour and memorialise their loved ones. The trend grew as social distancing and lockdowns restricted funerals and memorials.
