Yoon Suk-yeol took his oath on Tuesday as the new president of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in an inauguration ceremony at the National Assembly in Seoul. A conservative, Yoon won by a razor-thin margin in March. The election took place amid soaring COVID-19 cases in the ROK and tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
